The investigation of real-time dynamic behavior evaluation in the active distribution networks (ADNs) is a challenging task, and it has great importance due to emerging trend distributed generations, electric vehicles, flexible loads integration. advent new elements influences increases assessment complexity. However, proper implementation low-cost phasor measurement units (PMUs) together with development power system applications offer tremendous benefits. Therefore, this paper proposes PMU-based multi-dimensional index approach for ADNs. proposed model follows principles accuracy, integrity, practicability, adaptability. Additionally, we introduced PMUs implemented them high-precision monitoring behaviors entire network. Finally, complete called characteristics presented applied ADN. It pertinent mention that our methodology does not rely on network topology or line parameters since only measurements node voltage current are involved system. Thus, well adaptive different operation states ADN despite frequent changes. validation was verified by conducting simulations modified IEEE 123-node obtained results verify effectiveness relevance
